9400i isx Tach issues

    I am looking for any info on a 2001 9400i with an isx500. Upon starting the truck all gauges work perfectly then you will here 3 beeps and the tach will peg out at 6 oclock. I have replaced both crankshaft and cam speed sensors. There is no power loss no rough engine no service engine lights. Truck runs flawlessly. I have swapped the tach with the speedo and same result so I dont believe it is the guage. Any help would be very much appreciated. Thank you

    Any check engine light? You need to plug in with Insite so you can monitor values of the sensors.

    The tach gets it's data from the engine through the datalink along with the volt and oil pressure gauge. If only the tach is not working, that means the datalink is ok and either the engine is not transmitting the tach data(very rare and would be cause by low voltage boosting or programming that went bad), or the speedo/tach module is going bad.
