Was riding today with my dad to get his knee checked up on... Driving his car, I was playing with the HUD at a couple stop lights...
One of those little hybrid cars (their environment-"saving" is a boatload of bull if you look at what goes into making them)... Couldn't help but notice the 67mpg on the average trip screen.. I had a hard time explaining my laughter to them as I thought of the looks on you all's faces if your rigs suddenly had that kind of mileage... -
Done well over 9 at 75k gross as well when not trucking through Tennessee mountains.
I dead headed from calexico, ca to rodeo, ca and got 10.9 when I arrived -
This is driving like a race car driver and maxing what I can.

No it ain't. Sure in a '02 long nose Pete you ain't gonna get close but the new Cascadias with auto box and all the aero stuff get 9 all the time. Sure, 58-60mph and a good driver holding the wheel. I'm moving to a new truck next year and it will be a Cascadia, I am tired of blowing money out of my pipes getting 6mpg, but it's a old boxy Western Star and it ain't going to get any higher.

Why not the gliders with 12.7 detroit.

I used to get ~8 at times with a crappy old 2005 Volvo with an ISX motor, so I'm sure 9 isn't that far out of the question.

FYI I'm in a 2015 T680 with Paccar... I'm governed at 67 and go as fast as possible down hills
