Should not be a problem, disclose it upfront as a nervous tick. My son does the same thing. we used it to tell when we were getting a story from him lol

As A side note, I was about the same as your husband, am 55, was self employed for 13yrs, but had good references and a good reputation. Prime worked very hard to get me on board, was iffy due to the self employment, but I was able to show them records etc and it worked out. I had a slight problem with BP and also passed a kidney stone a month prior to coming to Prime, was on pain killers at the hospital which they of course questioned. I was open and up front with them, provided all my medical info, worked with my Doc's to ensure that they passed Prime EVERYTHING, and it worked out. Prime has done EXACTLY what they said they would do, I am mature enough to realize that the 1st traininer period (PSD) is not only a training period but also a long job interview. the second period (TNT) is also a job interview, where I am expected to preform and be responsible for my decisions, only difference is I am on the payroll. Granted I am not making boat loads of money but it is a stepping stone. After my year is up I will make a decision to either hang and go Lease or to go looking for something closer to home.
BTW I also applied to Swift and several others, Swift worked with me till I told them about my self employment, the others did not really want to talk to me.
I hope you folks have the best of luck in this. -
i would also like to say i did go to columbus and got up and walked out after they told us we would only be getting .25 cents a mile what a joke.

Heard from recruiter today and got the orientation letter. Woot.
Looks like they are willing to take him about pretty much when he wants to go. We have some things to deal with here (getting permit, coming up with the $100, spending money, waiting on birth cert from Sweden, etc.) but at least that first step is checked off. -

He's not a U.S. Citizen, he's a Swede. He has an (expired) Swedish passport. He's already contacted who he needs to in Sweden to get the English version of their birth certificate sent over.
Which is good, 'cause renewing his passport is a PITA. It's not easy unless you live in/around Washington DC or NYC. -

According to your statements guess you have been suckered in, again.
I welcome your explination for leaving Prime the first time. Since you are in the explaining mood... Why did Swift not work out 2 weeks ago.
I stand by my statement: I hope they find an inssue and send your wishy washy, sorry butt home. Then you can go back to talking trash about Prime and making fun of us drivers. -
I'm curious to know what happened the first time with Swift. You supposedly went to an orientation in Burns Harbor and apparently that didn't work out. So you went back to an orientation in Columbus where you claim you "got up and walked out" when you heard the rate of pay. Your stories do not make any sense sir.
First, rate of pay for Swift isn't a big secret. I believe it is on their website; if not it certainly is on this forum. I haven't even applied with Swift and I knew what their entry-level rate of pay was. And you expect people to believe that you never made it to the rate of pay section in the first Swift orientation?
You certainly do seem to have a habit of bashing just about every carrier around. I certainly hope this attitude and conduct isn't one you carry into the workplace. And now you're trying to pick a fight with U2 on an internet forum? Give me a break.
I may not have any experience in trucking, but I have a good deal of experience in detecting bull excrement, and that is exactly what I am seeing here.
I wish you the best of luck, but it seems to me things may work out better for you if you take some time to work on attitude and integrity.
