From the looks of things, it is almost as though Canada does NOT want truck drivers entering their country at all.

Perhaps I am looking at this all wrong.

God bless every American and their families! God bless the U.S.A.!

DUI criminal activity I wonder did ted kennedy ever go there?
You must've found some really good paying freight to want to go there? canada must have reached it's criminal quota? I wonder about all the muslims and others they let in to stay on the governments tab? If you ever been to london or france should be about the same just closer.
Of all the places I been canada has never been one of them or ever entered my mind to. Netherlands is by far worst place I ever been next is london a 23 dollar big mac meal and paying to take a wizz.

Why would you come back empty? I've reloaded in Canada before.

Anyone I ever talked to that went there said they couldn't get nothing back or it didn't pay well. The one time I was in seattle the drivers there complained all the canadian drivers were coming down and gobbling all the freight up.

I'm not applying for rehabilitation to Canada to haul any freight there although I do not see any point in refusing to if it pays well.

As I am not a O/O not being able to go to Canada limits the companies I can potential work for so I see no point in not having that restriction removed if I can.

I don't like the thought of not having the freedom of traveling there should I choose to as well.

That may be true, I'm the only one I know of in my company that has reloaded there, most everyone gets deadheads back.

We do take DUI's very serious here in Canada... So serious that just recently we have been lowered the BAC (blood/alcohol content) from .08 to .05 in Ontario.. Now .05 is Criminal Offence and .08 is a provincial offence... Plus fines, ignition interlock systems, jail time, probation, increased insurance etc... Now like someone else said drugs are not taken a serious as drinking... For instance if are a driver and only stay in Canada you do not require drug testing.. The only drivers subject to drug testing would be guys going into the U.S from Canada and they are random test and even then I don't think they are mandatory if the company doesn't do partake....

I guess it depends on what part of Canada you are coming from going into the U.S.... I know Ontario has lots of freight going out, especially from the automotive sector... Ontario is the busiest province in Canada so I can't see how U.S drivers could leave here empty without anything to take to the U.S....

Keep it to yourself, and just carry on. We make mistakes. I bbq and drink when home. I don't mix Lives with pleasure. If you can't leave it alone, leave trucks alone.
