Yep freight has dropped off.. I'm doing one trip a week.. 2500-3k tops last 6 weeks. I been site two days now waiting on a load out of Springfield MO. This place always has freight, but me and another driver are still sitting. Time of year? Maybe... Bigger fact is they don't hunt the boards for broker freight here.. And that hurts the contractors.

Wow! I've only had two weeks where I've only had one trip to the truck for the week (one back in June and the other three weeks ago). Now I will admit the way this week is looking this might be week 3, thank you Schwans and Americold. But that's alright, it will set me up pretty for the next week.

They pushed the appointments out so far because guys can't seem to plan with elogs here lately.. So I get stuck on one you can't move, then I feel like grandma with a walker crossing the country.. It will pick up again. Usually does after labor day.

It's funny that you mention that because I've been wondering about that myself and I know the feeling. I'm on paper here myself. I guess the folks with the E-logs just haven't figured out that time management is important with that thing.

My current load I picked up Sunday at 2 p.m. and I just left this morning out of Salina because there's so much time on and Americold don't move squat. So since I don't have to be there till Thursday at noon, I put in a 34.

Being a presidential election year probably doesn't help right now. Things seem to be better for ya Hagar this time around, glad to see that.

I attribute that to no elogs, and my own truck. I'm not knocking anyone leasing, but even my friends here see the difference in leasing and truly owning the truck here.

That's usually what I do... But some of the loads don't pay enough to sit on them. I have started asking before I take a load, will they move the appointments.
