  1. They say Midwest to west, it seems like Minnesota, Iowa, Missouri to the west and back. My experience in loads is as follows, Sioux Falls, SD to edwardsville, KS. Edwardsville, KS to Stockton, CA and now I'm loading in Salinas, CA taking it to Rogers, MN.

  3. Got my 3rd load guys. First, know that this is a very different company than the one I used to work with. I feel very much like an owner operator here where I didn't feel like one at JCT. What I mean is that a lot more responsibility lies on my shoulders than before. I was told today that I need to book all my appointments for this load. 5 picks in Salinas that I book with the appointment lines. Kind of a cool feeling being able to plan yourself. Like I said, this load has 5 picks in Salinas, CA. I should be done loading it tomorrow at noon. It delivers Sunday at 1000 in Rogers, MN. I'll be able to do this load in 2099 miles. Dispatch said the customer is saying 2088 miles loaded. So not bad right? Ready for the money? :).

  4. Salinas,CA to Rogers, MN pay is as follows,
Gross Revenue: $3600 (I get 74% of this number)
    Fuel surcharge: $850
    Driver extra pay: $250

So my take of the revenue is $2664. $2664+$850=$3514 or $1.67 loaded. $1.58 all miles as I had a 120 mile d/h from Stockton. If I absorb into my total take the extra pay, then loaded I'm looking at $1.79 and $1.69 mt and loaded. I know there are guys out there making a lot more than this, but for me, this is the best load that I've ever had in my entire career. Future is looking bright. Aloha, Ry

I just spoke with Sue in recruiting at A&A. She explained I am still in the 3 year window from my last drive, so it shouldn't be a problem getting back in a truck. She did tell me all apps are processed online now, which sucks I just filled out the paper version. Website to complete app is www.run4roadrunner.com. she told me about all the leasing options available. I am definitely going to apply and see what happens and if I like what I hear maybe getting back in a truck. Again thanks for the thread and keep it up!

I've pulled a van and done flatbed for a couple of years. Never pulled a refer before. From how you've described this lease and from another thread, A & A sounds like a decent place for $ and the areas they run.
I'm wondering how the refer would be for me though as far as odd appointment times and the noise of the unit affecting my sleep.

  10. Only you would know whether or not it's for you. I'm highly motivated so it's not that difficult for me. I sleep better with a reefer running than I do without it on.
