Thanks for the input. This is extremely helpful. Already been per-approved for Road Runner Transportation Temp Controlled as a company driver/lease or under my own authority with them putting my own truck on from a dealer. Working on getting a truck from a dealer right now.
I'm going to break this down for people. Assuming I get this right? If I am wrong, correct me and I will edit this.
Will use 6mpg average based on the truck I am purchasing
My Schwans from Salina,Kansas to Portland, OR
Fuel Surcharge: 451.17
Total Miles:1679
1679miles / 6mpg = 280 gallons
280Gallons * 2.48 a gallon - AVG Fuel Rate = $694.40
Fuel Surcharge: $451.17
Out of pocket expense $243.23
1.48 PM is $2,484.92
Minus out of pocket for fuel = $2,241.69 Gross
Not bad............. About a 3 day trip at 560miles per day. Could probably knock out 650 of that a day though.

I don't that is quite right. I thought he said the $1.48 mile included the FSC?
$1.48 a mile x 1,679 = $2,484.94 gross with FSC.
Fuel cost as calculated by you $694.40
Leaves $1,790.54 for 3 days of running
Per day gross $596.85 BEFORE other related truck expenses, fixed & variable. -
It includes FSC. Bleh!!!
Well, assuming the average loads are like that and better you will do just fine though, with Fixed & Variable. That is with a 2900 truck payment. Hopefully, their are better loads than that more often then not simply because I added all that up for a 6 day and full month average, which I would hope not be the case! Some of us want some home time, maybe a 34 at the house each weekend. heh!

I hate to break it to you, but $1.48 a mile before all truck expenses leaves company driver wages at best, with all liability on the shoulders of the lease operator.ghostridah Thanks this.
-
Hence I said I hope their are far more often loads that are better.. With my expenses, I would bring 5,957.10 a month before any taxes if stuck at 1.48.
A friend of mine told me they were making up to 2.50 a mile.ghostridah Thanks this. -
I've posted my settlements here before. We also get fuel discounts. I don't know anyone getting $2.50 a mile here.
ghostridah Thanks this. -
Did anyone not got there settlement statement yesterday?
ghostridah Thanks this. -
It was supposed to come after 1600. If you're negative they won't give you one from what I've heardghostridah Thanks this.
-
Negative? Like, you owe them money?
-
Yes that's what I was told
