Yep... Once they think they have you, they move on and don't answer. They will also tell you what you want to hear, and mislead you... If you are interested in a and a I would call the number directly and hit 2 for the safety and recruiting.

Yea I had enough of this already. Before i go anywhere everything will be recorded from my recruiter voice. Mean while I'm looking at other companies like Mercer/Schneider & maybe eagle logistics.
-
Out of all of those, mercer and schneider are at the top.... Eagle I hear to many guys not making a good pay.
fr8monkey Thanks this. -
It's true about eagle....really really really would advise against eagle.....can't stress that enough....just,omg don't do it...R.Hagar Thanks this.

Whats a good company to consider for percentage pay O/O?

Been OTR for 2 years, company driver for a few different companies, mostly Swift, now Con-Way. Looking into Roadrunner, sure would love that extra money as a lease-operator! Have no credit, as I tore up my credit cards 30 years ago - who do I talk to to get a Volvo 780 or KW T680? And - if roadrunner can only offer me a used truck... - do I trust that it'll still make money? Or is it going to be in the shop every other week and cost more than I can afford? What's RR's back up system if they do give you a lemon?
Any info much appreciated!! -
Google a and a express out of Brandon South Dakota... Call the number and press 2 for safety and recruiting.

Hey Hagar just spoke with a guy. He said Big Rock under Road Runner pays 90% percent Revenue. But you have to lease Tractor & Trailer.
-
Don't know anything about them? I know brugner pays a lower percentage, but drivers that are there seem to make more do to better rates

Well after everything I have went through with these guys... I'm not backing them no longer...
I had to family issues arise, and need to be home. Started in July, took a week off. I held back two trips to turn in so I wouldn't be negative up in returning. Nope, Tim had them pull all my deductions for the month out at one time. So when I started rolling again I was - 2300 in the hole. Took three weeks to see a positive check.
I went home again in August for 4 days, did the same thing... Held back two trips, and again Tim hit me for a months worth of deductions all at once. This time I broke even because they where good paying trips.
So for July I made 2800.00 for almost 10k miles run.
August I haven't even bothered to check. I needed to be closed to home in Texas and they are having a hard time keeping me close so I found a local job and decided to turn in the truck.
That has turned into a fiasco now as well.... The walk away lease they sell you on, isn't so walk away. They have held my settlements and won't pay me for the runs I have made... And keep charging me for a truck until they get someone to take my truck.
When I told the owner that's not what you guys sold me on this lease he promptly told me he would see what he could do and hung up on me.
So in hind sight.... Long as I was running and never home, they where happy, I made money. Soon as I need to go home, the screws came out and they pretty much punish you.
I would steer clear of this walk away ######## lease...itaff, drvrtech77 and carramrod32 Thank this.
