A/C leaking water into cab?

i wouldn't worry too much about the hose. all you care about is having a clear drain hole. the hose is just an extension. and WILL corrode an break over time.

 

Could be, but some of them are very difficult to replace. So if one take it easy with that hose they may not have to replace it, & if they do not take it easy with the hose they may make them self a very difficult job.

That's the way I always looked at any mechanical work that I've done. At times I even seek advise to be sure I don't make it a more difficult job than what it needs to be.
