rooting doesn't void your warranty. sprint will restore it to stock for you. but if you know how to root. then you know how to do the job yourself of putting phone back to stock.

Maybe not, but if you "Brick" it (botch the process, making it as useful as a brick), I don't think they can help you.

Rooting does void the manufacturing warranty just like putting in a battery from a different company does
-
And sprint techs are idots and couldn't get mine back to stock after my first flashing a rom gone wrong lol if I had my pc on the road I could have odin and dk28 back to stock myself they are idiots
-
you can download the stock software. it restores the phone back to stock by wipeing it out and reloading. don't even need the htc sync program on your computer.
as for copilot. my phone keeps rebooting or losing gps signal. don' tmatter what program i use. if gps is running from the maps on memory card. the phone reboots. and i have the evo.
internet nav works great. just no love from the memory card. last week it got trashed and had to be replaced. i've since bought the pcmiler which is made by copilot. -
Been using it on a droid x
Had to reboot the phone 2 times in 3 weeks...
Generaly impressed....better features than the free google maps...
Better routing...more features...
Documentation is iffy, but trial and error works....
Just be sure to load the full US or North American map on the inital install...the file is big...but most phones can store it no problem....if you don't you may need a laptop and wifi to add maps.
Routing is very good...very close to the qualicom pcmiler suggested routing....
local routing is what it is..use the vendor directions...it is a car gps program..even if you set it to RV mode...it helps, but may not know all restrictions for trucks....
Best $5 I spent!! One devise, multi tasking...great in the truck...less wires, cheaper than a car gps, and if you phone has a big screen, even better!! -
One more thing...since it is a app made for car use, I use a 2 different apps to find truck stops...a bit of a hassel, but big $$ saver compared to a $200 truck gps....you still must be active to look for places to stop, but if you are a bit familar with the area no issue...
90% of the functiolality of pcmiler, 5% of the cost!!
Been debating if I should restart the traffic after having the 5 day free trial run out... -
I may eventually get the copilot live truck, but at $150 the cost/benifit calculaion is harder...a seperate devise might make more sense...
If I did not get "suggested" routing from my company on the qualicom, it might make sense...just like if I had haz-mat, or went to locations that we did not have highway to custumer directions....
Both. Versions of the software appears to be very similar...so if you like the $5 one, it might be with the upgrade. -
If you have the live version. Just do a live search for "truck stop" and copilot will list nearby truck stops, or select a town to search near.
You've been-----\/\/\/\-----Thunderstruck!!!

I've been an avid user of CoPilot for over 10 years now. To clear up some confusion here, Co Pilot changed the numbering system on the newest version. So the version 11 is the release BEFORE Live8. I've used Live 8 on laptops of several sizes and the newest release is the best. I installed the Android app on a 10 inch Android Tablet and it works like a dream come true. For afordable tablets try DHGate.com. Search flytouch3/ supperpad and you'll find they sell in the $200.00 range. Very affordable.
