If it's truly not managed it's really one of the conditions you don't wanna be out on the road for. We all know how it feels eating some bad food and having the ####s come on 2 hours later feels like, I couldn't imagine that daily and not having a place to pull over immediately.
A crappy question

Hey buddy I have the exact same problem you do. I went through the school 3 1/2 years ago and one time we had to make an emergency stop. Thankfully there was a place I could run inside to use the bathroom. But it’s worth the chance if nothing else you will need to crap on the side of the road. People with this condition it is no big deal. Jump out the truck and do your business then jump back in truck and take off. Funny story thankfully I was with my husband but we needed to make an emergency stop so we pulled into Wendy’s. I had him stop right at the entrance, needless to say I could not make it inside so I just dropped my drawers and we’ll you know the rest. Ya it was a little embarrassing but I’ve always wondered how the guy eating in his car felt when he sees a girl literally pooping in the parking lot. I’ve got so many poop stories but ya when you get to rolling on your own you will bring trash can or bucket. Not so sure how trainer would feel if you brought bucket. But then again the way they need drivers they could probably care less. You may want to bring spray too!

Camping toilet seems a good idea.

Everyone should have a plan of what to do in a dire situation, and not assume it'll never happen. But, I can't imagine a trainer is going to go along with this. Once you are solo, it's a great plan.

I have a weak stomach too. OP you will need to be extra careful to stick to foods and drinks that do not trigger your stomach while you're OTR. While with a trainer, it might even be best to eat only enough to keep you alert and not hungry, you might want to eat as little as possible so as to not upset your stomach.
When your symptoms "come on" and you know what's coming, how long does it take before it's going to come out whether you like it or not?
I ask because normally if you can wait 15-20 minutes after that initial feeling, you can usually find a solution as to what you're going to do. Truck stop, rest area, or a ramp and do what you have to do. I would think any trainer should hopefully be kind enough to help you out and get to a place where you can do your business if you can give him a 15-20 minutes heads up. Even somewhere like Wyoming you could put the 4 ways on, pull to the side of the road and you can do what you have to do.
If you have really bad IBS I would try to go with the company that provides the least amount of training, because it'll be way easier to do what you have to do when you get into your own truck.
When you get onto your own, you can either get one of those portable toilets or just get a 5 gallon bucket.pumpkinishere Thanks this. -

@gprimr1, when I started out in the CDL world, after all their in-house training, I was out with a Schneider trainer for a mere 4 1/2 days.
Then Schneider assigned me a truck, & I went solo OTR.
The rest....as they say....is history.
Now, I'm hauling fuel, & home daily (but NOT with Schneider).
For the shortest time out with a trainer--Schneider is definitely a good way to go!

So..you have an uncontrollable urge to poop occasionally, and this occupation requires that you spend extended times away from restrooms.
Maybe this is not the best occupation for your condition? Even if you brought a portable toilet, stopping all the time to poop seems problematic. What if you're stuck in traffic in an area where you can't pull over? Just doesn't seem practical to mepumpkinishere Thanks this.
