    Hey Heavy Metal Kid,
Do you work in Michigan? Are you a local driver? Glad your dad likes it there. Do you listen to heavy metal music? Next goofy question for you...If so do you dress goth? My daughter only knew the color black existed for a few years. Her brown hair saw colors of yellow, pink, blue, green, purple, anything but natural. My twins have red hair......but now ones black and all ratted up on top and long in the front and longer in the back. Hot Topic is their favorite store. So you get the message. It's fun !!!!! Have a good weekend.

I was looking for some info on ad transport also suppose to be a good company, i heard the same thing bout how they use to run their drivers, i think all company's use to do that, and i am sure some still do, if you do a search on dot pdf's for hours of service from 2007 and back lots of violations for various company's some more than others, this company does have a good safe stat score and good safety rating. i would post some but i am not trying to smear any companies. the company i work for has had a bad rep in the past they have cleaned up their act, good scores but the company i am with will run you to the minute, it's legal just legal, so if ad works that way that would be nice. thats where you make your money. and that sitting and waiting for truck service the provision in the back of most log books protect the company from libility where you left the truck in someone's else's care pretty much where you can log off duty and it takes 8 hrs you can run again, doing a split. because you are not in the truck kenworth has the truck you released all duty's to kenworth or may it be the shipper, i know drivers dont see it this way or ask the law dosen't either, i dont either, but thats what these companies think. i did ask a dot officer bout that when i was getting inspected he said yes as long as you have the letter in your log book, it would be like getting a crapy's night sleep and trying to explain to your company i cant pull that run because i am tired, they would laugh in my face even though a fatiged driver is not suppose to drive. i figure that'a why the truckstops sell so much coffee.:biggrin_25525:

My husbands been at AD since July 1st and really likes his job. They have done a good job at keeping him moving and preplaning his trips. 99% of the time he already knows where he's heading next. A couple times he has had to wait at the most 2 hours and he's ready to go again. He's usually home every weekend or every other weekend, but usually every weekend.

Your welcome, Toothpick1. It's hard to figure out what to do, especially in this economy. But we couldn't survive in $350 - $500 a week anymore and that was for a full weeks work. It was a good choice for him. When he's not moving, he's complaining and when he's moving he complains less!!!!! :yes2557::biggrin_2559:

    Toothpick1,
I see you've been driving for 32 years. I guess you must like this job. My husband got thrown into it, so to speak. We did concrete for over 20 years and when Michigans economy took a dump he didn't have to much of a choice in what to do. He could already drive. He could run any type of equipment, but that's not happening here either. No construction jobs, nothing. I guess he has to complain because his life style has changed almost 100%. But he actually likes the job. His body doesn't hurt like it use to from all the physical stuff it took to do concrete work. He got burned out doing estimates and all the upkeep on the equipment. He must just enjoy complaining. lol

Yeah, WW, I must say I do enjoy my job. I still look forward to going to work. Of course I do have it pretty good...out one day then back home the next. I haul scheduled air freight, 3 trips a week PIT to JFK. And, no, running JFK isn't all THAT bad, once one gets to know all our regular stops. LOL

Waiting Wife. Haven't heard from you in a while. Is your husband still happy with A.D. Transport? Why or why not? Does anyone have any recent info on this company? I've been offered a job with them, so any current info on them would be greatly appreciated.
