It will not change if everyone rolls over and lets themselves get stomped on, if everyone starts documenting it and demanding some real workable rule(which with the crowd needs to be done) and the lazy docks start getting some attention, nothing will get better, in fact start tweeting Trump the problems by a few hundred thousand peed on truckers.. the squeaky wheel will be noticed.

Your dispatcher probably works only 8 hours a day, sleeps at home e very night, why are you taking that abuse, if you do not fight for your rights you will have none, Those stores need that stuff on the truck, it is time for us to stand up and fix this crap or sit down and whimper"oh woe is me."

    Here’s my day,
    In a daycab
A 4 hour drive back to the yard.
The shipper is broke down and can’t make product at the moment.
4:02 left on my 14, plus I can extend to a 16 hour day.

Odds are I’ll get a room somewhere and won’t have the hours to get back and then make another run tomorrow. (So I’ll lose a trip this week)

At least I get decent detention pay and $25 per diem.

    x1Heavy Thanks this.

Can you imagine the danger if you drove those extra two mins over your fourteen? This guy was three minutes past his fourteen when this happened.

Your source for his log status?

He's lucky the fuel tanks were torn off or he might have killed his son.

You can just tell he was trying to get to the ramp to take his 10 hour break and he was too tired from going over the 14 hr clock by those three minutes.(sarcasm)

FMCSA - says log it like it happens.. If you go over make a comment. They understand this and would rather you make that note than trying to falsify the logs... It will take time to sort out, so if you run over, let it log it, make a comment on the ELD.

Or maybe he just really had to poop.

In fact, you might say he had “explosive” diarrhea?
