Quite well aware of that. Posted from the phone so it was short and sweet. Take a break and show sleeper and then go inside the rest area or whatever, seems simple enough to just show the one. To each their own.

Either way, it ends up not being on duty.

The way to do it is this. Use Eclipse Logbook with a GPS attached to your laptop. It will automatically put where your change of duty status occurred.

As to what duty status you are in while loading. That is up to you. As a driver you are suppose to watch them load your truck. You are suppose to secure you load as they are loading. That rarely happens in the real world. Most places won't let you on the dock. So you can load that as off duty. But you can load it as on duty.

If sometime in the Future, drivers decided to take action to raise our wages, we would all log loading time as On Duty and demand payment for it. Trying to sleep with folk trucks running on the trailer is difficult. You can't go anywhere so you really aren't off duty.

I'm fairly new to trucking and I have a question, the company I drive with now has a fairly easy way of logging, they use people-net, pretty simple( on duty - pretrip
    drive-to drive
    on/off duty-fuel,load,unload
    sb-10 hr break
    off-duty-30 min brk )
went to usxpress and they have 35 macro's to remember. do all major companies have the same amount of macro's to remember, hell I do good just to type this! is this what I have to look forward to if I want to work for major carrier:biggrin_25521:

and is their any sites that help learn this process/ usx gives you 3 wks to get it right(while your driving, stopping, fueling and all else that comes along,) couldn't do it, cut my butt -cost me upgrade
