most gliders were assembled questionably when they were new, I doubt there’s many left worth spending money on

If it were me, I'd be very careful about buying a glider.

First of all the cost of the truck itself that's a glider is insane.

Second some of them used questionable engines apparently.

Third, you have to really know what you're buying because there are some people that just swapped engines and call them a glider.

I would look for an original truck that is pre 2003.

They are out there, but you're going to pay for a good one that has a long list of repairs with receipts.

I myself would prefer that over a glider.

Forget emissions go with the diesel electric trucks. Two companies are working on building them Edison Motors for heavy duty trucks. Revolt is also working on them using regular OTR trucks. Both are going with Scania engines that don’t have all the emissions troubles. Revolt has built a 379 Peterbilt with diesel engines and electric motors for a show truck. It’s running but getting the paint job and everything else fixed. It’s interesting Idea and hopefully they will be successful.

When they have accumilated 5 million miles, then you can buy them, but until ... they are still not ready for primetime
