Lol, I thought the exact same thing....but then, you never know.....

Mucho dollars AND mucho extra time waiting on a service truck when they can rarely give you a window of less then 3 hours. Missed appointment? Layed over until next day to unload? Maybe a 30% billing reduction per agreement? Maybe a lost account for too many service failures? Time is money in this business ... so are tires ... but often the price of a tire is minute compared to the other potential costs. I've seen tires ran completely flat for 100's of miles with no issues once corrected. Back in the day of tube tires, you couldn't get away with this, but today's virgin tubeless radials are pretty resilient to abuse up to a point. Recaps are not so forgiving, though.

Just remember it's on them only as far as the company.DOT could care less if you have a message from dispatch. Now that said if there are no scales in that 25 miles I would head to the truck stop to get it fixed.Road service could take awhile to show up.At least at the truck stop you can grab a shower or meal if they make you wait awhile.VagabondTrucker Thanks this. -
Ths e dont work well if you run 120+ in your tires, but are ok for 100psi or so
-
Id run it even if its flat plus i carry a air hose, plugs and starting fluid if i need to put it back on the bead.

A ruined tire is still probably cheapper and is a lot faster than a roadside call
