Believe it or not a flip fone that contains the same blocking software inside the smart phone has value now. The more they push the BS technology the easier it is to walk back to a flip phone.
I actually have a abacus somewhere in the house.
I don't mind helping out a kid fresh in trucking now and then. But I am going to take a moment and tease that kid.
For example.
Raining cats and dogs one dark night up there in Mildale 84 76 truckstop. (American Eagle 76) Main lot with pavement is full. With great reluctance I put her into a foot of mud up top of the alternative overflow parking. Loaded too. What a tractor it was. I wuv it.
Lo and behold here comes orange. Schnider trying to get into a spot. Throwing mud everywhere. Fine. 8 of us gathered around the kid in that cabover. He puffed like a bird standing feathers deep in fresh birdseed. My oh me, 8 hardened professional drivers to help me park this.
Now what actually happened.
Everywhere his eyes lit onto one of us at one of his corners to get a sign he was given a slightly conflicting sign so when he had glanced all around the complete circle of 8 of us around his entire rig, the net result was pulling up 5 feet fight the steering wheel back 5 feet continue to fight the steering wheel. back and forth and so on. Repeat until panty and sweaty.
Took him less than 5 minutes to complete the 2+2 = Being teased. Gently.
We popped him into that spot in like 5 seconds after that. It was worth it.
A helping hand

I know a guy in Jackson,MS that has an old brick phone that’s about 20 years old. He pays $7.99 a month for unlimited talk. Has to keep phone plugged in to use it.
That’s the beauty of contracts. The company has to honor them as well.
He can afford to step into the times, just pissing off the company I reckonFoolsErrand, x1Heavy, Rideandrepair and 2 others Thank this. -

I want to remember reading that the cell phone carriers are removing the infrastructure that supports non-smart phones, as they move to the 4 and 5 G systems. I don't remember how all this ended. I'm not sure how much longer those old flip phones will work. Also that 1 watt bag phone is not digital and I am surprised it even works today.

Edit: come to think of it, my first phone was a bag phone too.Rideandrepair and buddyd157 Thank this.
