    Yea probably not a good idea. Sometimes they dont want to demonstrate a sense of humor.

    back tractor under trailer not all the way get out look under trailer make sure the skid plate is line up with kingpin iif lined up str8 back under it hook up lines first push in trailer brake check for leaks ihen llet up landing gear thats how i was told do do it

    Did you check the king pin lock with a flashlight and do a tug test?

    Shine the light on the king pin lock so you can see if it locked. Also when you have verified it is locked get in the truck with trailer brakes set. Release the truck breaks and pull forward a little. Very little. The trailer should stay in place. If it doesn't than something is wrong.
