When I first read this I was like WTF? I thought you had a home ;). Then I saw the date and laughed. These guys managed to dig up a post from 2010. That's classic.

BTC should definitely make it to your short list. While I was there, for 2 years, they always did what they said they would do. Orientation pay the day you finished it, check in hand. Decent trucks and good dispatchers. there will always be exceptions, but they do work to get you home every weekend, or you can stay out if you choose. You need to do your part, work hard and keep running when you need to, but the benefits of doing that will be made clear to you. I would still be there is I hadn't got this cushy local job I'm at now. Definitely worth listening to what they have to say.

Hell, caught you and me both off guard. I appreciate the input, but it's 5 going on 6 years too late.

I was looking for info on Vernon Milling Company and this thread came up. I didn't even notice the dates.

I just put in a app with them. They couldn't tell me what they were paying per mile. They said it's based on experience/driving record. The recruiter just told me they run mainly in the Southeast states and you don't need a hazmat or tanker experience. I hope that's not a bad thing as in they'll take anybody. We'll see. I'll keep you guys updated!
