    Good writeup in your OP.

    Two issues though. The first is Cascadia life. The number of drivers anymore who wouldn’t have the first clue what you’re talking about is on the rise, and disturbingly so. Too many big words and all that…:rolleyes:

    The second is Werner vs Blake. That alone will scare many drivers into parking it at the first flake.

    Sadly dead on with both counts.

    I've just come to realize that whether I admit it or not, I'm an oldtimer. And I hate to think about hard earned knowledge just slipping away. So if even one or two drivers find something to slip into their toolkit, it's a win.

    But it is a different world nowadays, for sure.

    Where I worked if you drove a truck year round, you drove in snow part of the year. Some driving jobs were off road. Chaining was just part of the job. No big deal. With a 100 foot Canyon on one side of a greased up 12% goat trail it was obvious you would probably die. Run it cool & don't wear a seatbelt.
