We hauled a lot of loads out of Norpac in Longview, Caraustar in Tacoma, scrap paper out of every little hole you could imagine from Seattle to Portland. Most of the scrap goes to GP Toledo, we would drop these loads in the Philomath yard for the day cabs to shuttle across Hwy 20 and they would bring the outbound loads to Philomath, drop & hook for us. A&M is buying new 48' trailers again so would expect the line drivers to be crossing 20 again, there is no length restriction when dragging a 48'. Before anyone starts telling me that the length restrictions still apply, you are wrong, been dragging a 48' reefer across with a long nose Pete for last 2 yrs. and yes I've crossed the scales many times with this combo, no problem.

I get down to Toledo once in a while when our Willamina yard needs some extra help, not often but a couple times a year.
We take 18 down of course and then 101 to Newport, nice drive along the beach there when the sun's out.
I hauled scrap paper to Toledo a couple times back when I was in a May truck and parked overnight right on the beach.

Been that way many times, 101 n to 18 to 22 to I5. That extra 2 hrs when the load is going to Cali. is a pain in the ###. No choice when your dragging a 53' trailer.
