Day3: 10.5 hours today. I'm good I feel great. As far as my mentor goes......lets just say its more to truck driving than driving the truck. Mountains beat me up yesterday not today. Down shifting beat me up yesterday not today. Well I'm in the sleeper while my mentor drives his remaining time. Over & Out!

Glad today was better. Sounds like you're having a good time, that's cool. Stay safe.

Day4: I drove out here to Albuquerque my mentor was upset at his bank for starters then I guess it was my turn but before he was going to keep mis treating me I left so now greyhound is bringing me home. I'm gonna make sure he does not mentor anybody else and the picture I got of him sleeping while on duty should take care of that. Thanks Swift for this great opportunity but the mentor I had discouraged me and I'm going to go another route. Jerry needs to really really really revise this training period because someone could get hurt and being the MAN I am I just walked away before I hurt someone and go to jail. Over & definitely out!

Your probly better off this way if you couldn't put up with your mentor and chose to quit after 4 days you were no where near ready for all the BS you would have to put up with in trucking

Nobody will curse at me and tell at me for starters. Second of all mentoring is to advise or train not I repeat not yell and threatened your student. Third he was in it for the money not to mentor. And lastly I am better off home in my warm bed every night then in jail for a violent act on a mentor. I have standards in my life and no one I don't care who you are with the exception of my mother and father will yell and curse at me especially while you are mentoring me. I'm a man just like him. I bet if I yelled and cursed at you in your truck you would take me to the nearest terminal. Trucking is nothing compared to prison. And I bet you don't have 4 containers filled with urine just sitting in your rig either. It's plenty more I just didnt want to go in depth.

Here go one: student starts driving LEAVING truck stop at 0648. Mentor says take this exit at 0748 he needed to get ice. Student says at 0845 I have to use restroom can we exit? Mentor says you shoulda did that at the last stop. Student says but we got ice after only an hour of driving couldn't you have gotten ice before we started for the day. Mentor says I didn't need ice then. Student says its your call I'll just hold it.

    I got another one:

mentor: you're gonna make me a lot of money as soon as you get your 1st 50 hours.....student:how so....mentor: I'm going to get $$/mile you do and I do and the truck will never stop rolling.....student:are you doing this for the money or to help teach recent grads how to become great company drivers....mentor:I got a family that needs support who is not in it for the money....student:now I see why your last student left you....mentor:hey it is what it is
