All that was really meant to be a segue to some Swift memes....
Some of them are actually pretty entertaining....

Oh, knock it off and aim your guns elsewhere. You couldn't have misinterpreted my comment in a worse way and I've had enough of you. I never advocated a U-turn, but it happens all the time. On her way to,,listen, bub, she wasn't paying attention, and for your information, I haven't had a CDL in 10 years, and won't patronize this business because of idiots like the 4 wheeler, and closed minded people like you.gekko1323 and bryan21384 Thank this.

Ok.....so I wouldn't have made a U turn there necessarily. However, that's plenty of room to make that U -turn if he executes correctly. My question is, how did the 4 wheeler end up there? I've made U turns in the past, whether they were legal or not I will not say lol but the 4 wheelers usually freeze up and give lots of space. The trucker is definitely a Bonehead here, but I'm somewhat inclined to believe the wheeler is a bit of a Bonehead too.
gekko1323, REO6205, kemosabi49 and 1 other person Thank this. -
I believe there are Bonehead Truckers, but I KNOW there are Bonehead 4 wheeler drivers. Or flat out stupid if you prefer… and I think there are many situations where a small bad decision can lead to a terrible outcome because the others around flat out aren’t paying attention. Or their cognitive flickerings are awful dim
gekko1323 and IH Truck Guy Thank this. -
the 4 wheelers death, does not make her the bonehead...as it was, she was in the far right lane, going about her business...
she had every right to be there, assuming she was going to get to her destination in one, living piece.
the road was wet, she did apply her brakes.... (she was not going much faster than the truck she just passed), who by the way, according to his dash cam, he too was going at least 59 mph, well above the posted limit of.....45
was she distracted?
maybe so, maybe not, but she cannot be blamed for her demise.
full 1000% liability goes to the dumbarse trucker, even thinking he can make a U-turn, on a rainy day, not night time, during what looked like "normal traffic flow" for the time.gekko1323 and drvrtech77 Thank this. -
So we are just all ignoring that the 4 didn’t hit the brakes until almost the point of impact?
im guessing most of you have never pulled an over length trailer before? That’s a common way to have to set up for turns, especially right hand turns.gekko1323, dwells40 and bryan21384 Thank this. -
That truck pulled right out in front of her with little to no warning..sorry but it’s not her fault in any way..the ignorant steering wheel holder is the one who is 100% at fault..buddyd157 Thanks this.
-
Did he? Looks like they were both rolling the same direction at an obvious speed differential. I don’t think the truck was stopped on the shoulder, I think he swings right before turning left. Truck had his signal on the entire time we can see it in the video.
That’s a lot like getting rear ended in a right hand turn and saying the truck pulled out in front of someone.gekko1323, dwells40 and bryan21384 Thank this. -
me personally....48 years with day cabs and sleepers......28' pups (as a set) , 45', 48' and of course 53'......
and at the very least many years doing downtown Boston with a 53'.....and other major cities here on the east coast.
and uh...he was making a left turn, not a right turngekko1323 Thanks this. -
you need to relook at that video......he may not have been stopped in the right shoulder. but he sure as heck WAS IN that right shoulder.
and the dumbarse doesn't even see the headlights from the opposite direction..????
i believe you are blind yourself to the facts.
