You are so IGNORANT you don't even know. You are now spewing NONSENSE. Damage is one of the main things they look for when they try to piece together things. Skid marks also. She was doing 65 mph in wet conditions. If you doubt this, then take a peek at the speedometer of the guy recording this. It fluctuated between 59-60. And she passed him pretty briskly. If I'm not mistaken, and someone PLEASE correct me if I'm wrong, the sign read "45 mph". This is the limit in normal road conditions. Conditions here were anything BUT normal. Christ, I RARELY do 65 in OPTIMAL conditions.

You want to create this narrative here that I think the truck driver should get off scot-free, even after stating that he is an idiot. He shouldn't. But NO WAY he is 100% responsible. I have had 4-wheelers cut me off so badly and then braked in heavy traffic, that I have had to cut into the right shoulder to avoid hitting the stupid idiot. I'm sure a few of you have. The worst one I missed clipping by about 7 feet. Because I wasn't speeding and I was aware of my surroundings. The bottom line is, this lady would NOT have lost her life if she had been driving the speed limit and paying attention. We wouldn't be talking about this in that case, and there would be no video. The truck driver set off the chain of events. But she SHOULD have been able to deal with it without drama. She had 5 or 6 seconds to react. That is an ETERNITY, unless you are driving like Mario Andretti.

Do you watch "The View" and CNN by any chance? Drink Bud Light? I bet you do.

Yes, he is an IDIOT. But he is not 100% responsible. Take off your muddied glasses and learn to look at things objectively and clearly. You are ignoring the fact that she was doing at least 65 mph in wet conditions. Get real.

They choose to overlook these facts. We both are wasting our time trying to get them to look at things from another perspective.

Well, many times the trucking company will just pay to avoid going to court and to mitigate negative publicity. The trucking company's insurance might not though. They may want to string together some expert witnesses and prove that the 4-wheeler deserves the bulk of the fault. If they are any good at their jobs, this shouldn't be difficult. This video itself proves she was speeding. And the fact that she hit the tail of the trailer is pretty damning too. She didn't hit the cab, which would have suggested that the truck driver pulled out abruptly. It would have taken the truck driver at least a good 5 seconds to achieve the position he was in.

EXACTLY. And waiting on the shoulder at that time in the day was a deal-breaker because he would have had to sit for an hour waiting for the ideal moment. He should have just gone into town. It's because of guys like him that the government keeps flurcking with us.

And remember, the speed limit was 45 mph for normal road conditions. Conditions were anything BUT normal. And you are right, losing her life doesn't make her a bonehead---but driving like an idiot does.

red circle indicates where u turn was made.. less than 1mi was a truck stop the fool could’ve turned around in and such…with all the tools at the drivers disposal to properly trip plan or even look up while sitting on shoulder they would’ve seen that and turned around there…so not only bad planning but gross negligence by driver of semi all the way around… money says it was either a foreigner who couldn’t barely comprehend English or simply someone who wasn’t trained properly or just flat out wasn’t competent to operate a semi truck.. btw here’s how much room there was to turn around at..

No one here is disputing that the guy was an idiot. I hope details about the driver are let known. I don't see a veteran doing this move knowing the info you just provided.

I said you can’t, Nothing in my statement about what an expert who has been trained in this. Although the accident I referred to about the black box even the guy supposedly trained to determine things was originally incorrect when his first determination was to say speeding and the answer came back from GM saying nope.

Ahhhhb quite contrare. These insurance companies, particular the big ones will beg to differ on that statement. They are trained in a way to assess an accident by looking at the damage. They are trained professionals. They have simulators and the works nowadays. I guarantee you.....if the car was going slower, it isn't not going to be crumpled like a ball of aluminum foil. Severe impact makes air bags deploy, and that was severe impact. When has there ever been a fatal collision that didn't involve speed?
