More gears is always better right?Mooseontheloose, QuietStorm and Gumper Thank this.

I'll trade you my T600 for your W900. It has a CAT too but really I think it'd make a great flatbed rig. No roof fairing on it. I'm just kidding. I wouldn't trade my truck for anything.
Mooseontheloose, Tug Toy and Gumper Thank this. -
I know the feeling.
Get used to that 10-20k of revolving invoice balance. This is in a way a good gauge of how well you did the last month. I noticed that the bigger the invoice, the longer you wait. Still, those bigger brokerages should not take longer than a month to pay.
Just checked...my unpaid invoices are at this point 15 025.00, which is pretty average and the oldest is 20 days from Schneider.Mattflat362, DSK333 and Mooseontheloose Thank this. -
I also noticed that my revenue bumped up magically as soon as I stopped to bother with those loads that pay less than 1k, even it it is only 200 miles. I would rather take $1300 and go 500 miles.
Mattflat362, DSK333 and Mooseontheloose Thank this. -
Yea seems like the shorter loads always take just as long as one twice the distance for some reason.Mooseontheloose Thanks this.

With ELDs , there is not that much difference if it is 200 miles or 500 miles, you have to devote the whole day to complete the task. I would rather drive 4 - 5 hours longer for $300 - 500 more than be sitting at a truck stop, laying on my back with this laptop on my belly and typing this. LOLMooseontheloose, PPLC, Dave_in_AZ and 1 other person Thank this.

Yea sometimes it doesn't make sense to take the shorter load for another 15-25 cents a mile.Mooseontheloose Thanks this.

Short loads are bad to get paid by mileage. 8 hours of work for $350 is stupid.
CorsairFanboy, Mooseontheloose, BigBob410 and 3 others Thank this. -
I am glad to see you are successful doing your own thing. There is nothing like controlling your own destiny especially when you are making great money. You can improve fuel mileage with that rig and slightly adjusting your right foot has a lot to do with that. It isn’t really a big deal now with rates where they are, but if times get lean you can adjust your speed then. Keep up the good work!
Mooseontheloose, BigBob410 and Gumper Thank this.
