Is there a connection between Flowtrans and GTS (Guaranteed Transportation Service)? I thought I saw a GTS tractor pulling a Flowtrans trailer a couple of weeks ago in South Alabama.

    Lonesome Thanks this.

They require a years worth of experience and are currently not hiring from FL.

I read somewhere that they have a connection but then someone said the owner had something to do with Indian River in the past so I have no idea I figure I'll ask them tomorrow when I get to orientation.

The people that started GTS left and started Flowtrans. Some were at Indian River years ago when I was there. They were some of the folks that I really liked at IRT.

I unloaded in Sylacauga, Al and they told me to head back to Coopersville, Mi.
    I can do that.
Got a load headed to Friendship, Ny.
    It’s south of Buffalo.

Very easy job and they leave me alone.
That being said, Amy the recruiter/jack of all trades there, makes sure you know if there are any issues come to her.
She will shoot straight but she will try to find a solution.
I’m grateful for Amy because my job prospects were not looking good after being out of work sick.

I wanted to say on my first check, this week, 500 for sign on and 300 for orientation. I also asked them to split my miles, on the empty to Michigan.
I have a good check coming.
It would make it easier someone coming from another company and not getting too far behind.
I had no check coming in so I’m happy about any check.

I’ve been driving since 99. This is the kind of company so far that fits me. I’m left alone. I’m not having to rush. I don’t mind a bit of waiting at times. Waiting, unfortunately, is a part of trucking. I’m not saying it’s ok. I’m saying I can deal with it.
Once again, this job is super easy.
One more thing, there’s only a few people in the office to deal with. I mean a handful and Amy is the person if there is issues.

That’s all I have. So far so good. Home next week.

Nice. That's an awesome run go down loaded go back empty lol. That's one thing I likes about tanker well except in the winter those empty miles can be a little tricky

So, I got up here yesterday to Coopersville about 13:30. I was dragging my feet. I could have loaded something yesterday before noon.
I was just like, no biggie.
I was until I went in there at 7am this morning and my load is not there.
So here I sit in Coopersville, waiting for my next load.
I get discouraged easily about jobs but I know this is part of trucking. I just wish when I was asking about going in early yesterday they could have seen or known something about this load.
I do hope this is not the norm and I don’t think it is but it does suck.
I said, when I started this I would tell the good and bad.
This isn’t all that bad because I will get paid but I hope it’s not a regular thing.

    Lonesome and Speed_Drums Thank this.

So, I got paid layover. I also got a load going from Goshen, In to Mechanicsburg, Pa.
I know that a load canceling or someone else grabbing a load happens. It’s part of trucking.
It sucks sitting but it happens in trucking.
I’m just going to hope it doesn’t happen too often here.

    Got loaded in Goshen, In
I was done early Saturday morning.
I drove to Mechanicsburg, Pa they got me empty before midnight last night.

Here’s my issue though. I got the load here and I’m empty but I haven’t been told what they want me to do after I’m empty.
I certainly don’t want to sit more. I don’t care if I’m just heading back to Coopersville, Mi.

Hopefully, I’ll get an email back soon on what to do.
With Indian River years ago they would always tell me which direction to head in after getting empty.
Here I’m waiting until after I’m empty to know what I should do.

I’m new and maybe they just need to see how I run. We will see.
I’m going to the Carlisle loves now to get a shower. I’ve sat at the customer long enough.

    nextgentrucker and Speed_Drums Thank this.

Gotta love when dispatch sends you to deliver somewhere. But doesn't plan what's after. That happens to me almost every week.

    nextgentrucker Thanks this.
