This is now happening again. Twice in the same week. I’m not going to lie, this is not exactly what I was hoping for.
I’m empty and sent and email saying I was empty. Also that my load was unloaded before midnight so I could have it on my maybe 2200 mile check. That took 7 full days to get the 2200 miles. I did get layover pay for one day.
Anyway, I asked if they needed me to head anywhere or anything.
I assume that question was just ignored.
So here I sit.
If I could move steady here, I think it would be ok. I’ve been driving a while and to be honest this sitting around and not knowing will send me home to work local.
I won’t spend time away just sitting.
I’d rather be home and honestly I won’t be making that much less.
I’m going to talk with them and see what it takes to run steady here.
I know I’m just starting but usually when I start somewhere, it doesn’t start slow.
I almost didn’t come back to trucking.
Maybe I shouldn’t have.

Also random side thing. Think I might currently be at the same truck stop as you. Currently at Loves in Carlisle Pa. Waiting to deliver in Mechanicsburg Pa around 8am tomorrow. Because I saw a FlowTrans truck here -
I’m heading to Wilmington, De this morning.
I think I’m so used to these last places I’ve been being so crappy, it doesn’t take me long to say, here we go again.
I have to be careful because I’ll make it much worse than it is. Sabotage myself if I’m not careful.
I’m used to running hard out of the gate then slowing down not the other way around.
That being said, I just got to figure out how they do things and I know there’s a few things that I can help them with to make it easier on them also.
It’s coffee time.
I hope everyone has a safe day.nextgentrucker and Speed_Drums Thank this. -
Coopersville MI is kind of notorious for slow loading...Where did you go after Wilmington ?
Guitarzan Thanks this. -
I take a medicine from a specialty pharmacy for Crohn’s disease every 8 weeks and it was time to go home and get it.
I’m leaving today from Alabama headed back to Michigan. Seems like a long way to deadhead but I don’t mind. I’m getting paid.
I need to do a better job at communicating with them. I will do that this time.
Sometimes it takes a minute to get going at a new company.
Everything will be good.BlueThunderr and Speed_Drums Thank this. -

I was headed to Michigan but got about to Hope Hull, Al and was told head in the direction of Russellville, Ar.
I got a tank wash in Russellville and then went and dropped my trailer and picked up a loaded trailer of eggs.
I’m sitting in Gainesville, Ga at the customer.
I will drop this loaded and grab their empty.
Then head to Sawyer, Michigan for a tank wash before getting to Coopersville, Mi.
Things seem to be going much smoother this week.Speed_Drums and Lonesome Thank this. -
On my way to Michigan I got redirected to a tank wash in Van Wert, Ohio. Dropped my tank off Tuesday night. It was clean Wednesday morning and I headed to Dannon in Minster, Oh. Got loaded and delivered today in Mt. Crawford, Va.
I then started deadheading toward Batavia, Ny to pick up a load going to Wilmington, Pa. I think I get paid percentage on it because it’s like 200 miles.
That being said, it’s been a good week. About 3100 miles and I should have that percentage run on here. Will be a good check.
And last week I wasn’t sure how it would work out That’s me though.
Trucking just sucks some weeks.
I will say this, it’s a very easy job.
There’s no stress. I’m not rushed.
I like that. I’m good with 2800 3000 a week.
In fact 2800 would be great. If I could average that a week.
It seems like a good place. There is NO micromanagement. They tell you where to go through a message and you are supposed to know what to do.
I rarely talk to anyone on the phone.
It’s a very laid back job and this has been a good week and it wasn’t hard.Speed_Drums, BlueThunderr, Lonesome and 1 other person Thank this. -
I got my next load out of Middlebur Center, Pa and took it to Covington, Tn. I unloaded that load today and I’m deadheading to Iowa for a load going to Elizabeth, NJ. Nice long run but it’s New Jersey. Shouldn’t be too bad.
Everything is going great. I’m making miles and making money.
This is a company for drivers that don’t need their hand held at all. It’s an easy job. They send me my pickup and destination and I go and they leave me alone.
At this moment I’m cautiously optimistic.
I have worked for a ton of crappy places. It’s hard to let myself relax and just realize it’s a decent job.
It’s definitely a decent job.Speed_Drums and Lonesome Thank this. -
If anyone is reading this and considering FlowTrans, no I’m not recruiting, I’m sure money is important to know.
In 4 weeks, my net after taxes is 5200.
I’m good with that bring home. 1300 a week after taxes.
My safety bonus every month nor my .02 bonus each month on my miles have kicked in yet.
Once again, great place if you want to work and be left alone.Blagoje, Speed_Drums and Lonesome Thank this.
