I don't understand the fear of the mountain grade seriously. White knuckle? What's that. My instructors discovered that I had a fear of mountains related to height and they spent 4 months creating a monster out of me who could careless unless I was tilted on someone's mountain that God has been gracious enough to set aside for my use someday. Fear is something in the belly the Mind as you process the situation and work through it everything ends. Nothing is pernament. Don't let fear disable you from being a Lion or a Warrior. As long you can breathe, you can still fight. Brings to mind Kahn in Star Trek III, with the last I spit upon thee as he set the Genesis device against Kirk's crippled enterprise crawling away on thrusters.

Which outfit, if you dont mind saying? So far, ive been told the gas haulers make out pretty good in our area. I also heard that Wawa drivers can earn in the neighborhood of $90k a yr, but its all night work. A UPS driver i spoke with a couple months ago said their contract was coming up soon, but new drivers started at $28/hr, but new hires needed 1 yr OTR first. McLane is pretty decent too from what I've been told by a driver, 4 day work weeks earning $75k.

I grew to hate the pallets. Big wood onto small wood. I hated them with increasing venom in my spirit as the years went by. I finally had to stop running that kind of freight for my sake. It has nothing to do with the ability to move 48,000 pounds in a few hours time. It's more of a internal stone that needed removing from my heart.

Wawa drivers don't earn close to 90k. McClane (grocery division) earns more than 75

I don't think you can get into UPS around this area without spending 10 years as a part time dock worker
