On the 48 side, I just got a three stop no touch nursery load that is over 3000 miles with 6 days to deliver. Love 48.

Ive read every post of yours on this thread. Man, I just feel sorry you. No other way I can put it.

Youre trying to put things in a positive light, and that is a good thing. But, thats only going to work for so long.

A good trucking company would NEVER ask you to stay out for 7 weeks. A good trucking company would NEVER ask you to stay out for 4 weeks. Keep something in mind, your DM sleeps at home every night. He dont give a dang about you, and when you ask about 11 or 48 (or what ever you guys call it) your DM wants you where HE needs you. He doesnt make the call based on what is best for you. He makes that call on what makes his life the easiest.

Sounds to me like your pay checks are a joke. Have a look at your check and tell me something. For the time you spend a way from home. Would you be doing better flipping burgers at McDonalds? I dont mean it as an insult, Im asking you to evaluate your situation in an honest simple manner.

Youre being a good employee. You are giving them 100% of you, that effort is not being reciprocated back to you. I would start looking for local jobs. You can get on craigslist or monster and find a decent local job. Trucking jobs are generally very easy to find. Keep your nose clean and get to that 1 year point, and youll be amazed at how easy it is.

If there is 1 peice of advice I could give you, and have that advice stick in your head. It would be; Big companies are rarely or never the answer. Find a smaller company that will treat you like a human being.

I've worked in fast food back in my highschool years. Let me assure you, if I was given a choice to drive a truck for minumum wage or flip burgers at Mickey D's for $15.00/hr, I'd drive the truck, happily.

The food business ain't much of a way to make a living, unless you're a chef.

I guess you guys are right. Negative attitudes and comments only breed more of the same.

So I'm NOT going to complain that I was forced to take a dispatch that got me to my delivery 42 hours early and am now told that I need to sit and wait until either maybe tomorrow or even maybe a good time for me to 'take a 34 hour reset' even though I could still keep rolling.

AND I'll make sure to NOT complain that any good run I might get (anything over 1000 miles), is then followed up by a run that forces my average back down to 3-400 miles per day for the entire week...

Okay, now that I've NOT complained about those, I guess I might as well settle in for a nap.

Who told you to sit and wait? I deliver a day+ early ALL THE TIME

Don't complain to US, complain to your DM. I would ask them to find someone to babysit, who NEEDS a 34, and/or reset your appt.
If you don't make noise, the issue will persist. Just like anywhere else in the world, you need to make your place in the pecking order known. If you're happy running crappy miles, and being told that's all there is, then by all means roll over and take it. If not, don't complain to us, WTF is the board going to do about it?
Just because you're new, and may not want to rock the boat, is no reason to get stepped on.

FWIW, I just met ANOTHER W11 driver in denver (dispatched out of there also) an hour ago, who was switching to 48...sick of hooking to 4 trailers in a day, and getting less than 2000 miles.
I just turned in 2834 from Wed morning to Sunday evening. One of them I delivered 22 hours early. Right now, I'm on another 1500+ run (just my leg of it) that I repowered from the aforementioned W11 guy. Salem, OR to Statesville, NC. That one run is longer than most W11 guys weeks

But if everyone goes on the 48, who is gonna run the 11 Western? ;-)

I tried that. The DM said the planner was the one that said I couldn't deliver it early.

Coincidentally they DID get the delivery time bumped up to tomorrow for me. So I guess venting about it helped!

Sometimes it works to drop early, sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes a repower is in order, sometimes it isn't. Never hurts to ask and keep on trying whatever works to keep you rolling.
