$4 beers. Depends on the beer on tap, and the barkeep and the food. I love a good watering hole. I'm talking real beer, not Mississippi mudwater. If I walk into a place and they just have Mudwater and Mudwater Lite, I will get something else. But, if they have Killians or Negra Modelo or JW Dundee's HoneyBrown or something that actually tastes good and you dont have to add salt or fruit to taste it, I will gladly give $4 for a good beer.

Found a watering hole last year that had Sam Adams OctoberFest on tap. Man is that stuff good! I had no idea. Why didn't anyone tell me?

Before the Checker Flag Bar & Grill was in with Grammas Kitchen, it was across from the pilot where the Iowa80 parking lot is now. Don't remember the name then. Was a truckers bar then. Beer taps came out of the grill of a KW w900. Prices were reasonable. Had a lot of fun there.

And this folks is why my vices run in diffrent directions.
I don't drink and I don't smoke. Not because of some moral highground. It's I'm simply too cheap to spend money on those vices. Likely why I never got addicted to drugs that so many in high school did. It was more I was unwilling to pay for it.

Note, this doesn't mean I have no vices. I just tend to have less costly ones. :)

Guess I'm the odd man out. I don' go out or drink much. But when I do depending on the crowd I'm with. With regular friends, its usually $11 for scotch on rocks (deers or johnot black) $6-7 beer Heineken or bud light.
With the broke as always bumming crowd. Its 3-5 beer bud or tap only.
With the wife forget it. Top shelf all the way and it costs what it costs. But I did learn no more Johnny blue when not at home. $25-30 a shot

I can't remember the name of the bar with the KW grille in Walcott either, but it was a small truckstop there, think it was an Arco. Used to have one or two,at the Truck World bar in Hubbard, also,or down at the Rebel 38 truckstop in Youngstown, long time ago.Back in the steel haulin' days. Don't even know if it's there anymore, used to be the Union 76 across the street.
