Just wanted to mention to the new guys/gals that there are a few things about finishers at Con-Way, and probly elsewhere, that I don't think most realize or take into account. First is they changed training time to 10,000 miles now, not 7500. Secondly, when you are assigned to a finisher, they may be 2-3 days away from Joplin, or wherever you might get picked up. Also, they are with a student for 4-5 weeks now, and haven't been home since being with the last student. So, most would take some time off between students ( they need a break too). Then they need to get back to Joplin again and may live clear across the country. Freight dictates where trainers go, not just students. There is not an endless supply of trainers...there's only so many in the company, and there are lots of students. There's probly a few more things I could add, but just hang in there, your time will come. You're about to find out that there's a lot more to this than just driving from A to B...we have great finishers that want you to succeed and get going on your own. Welcome to all the new peeps and don't forget to wave on your way by.
A note on finishers
