I have two with their license and one more that is working on getting his. They all know the proper behavior around rigs. With both me and the hubby having CDL's and grandpa having one too, they got that stuff drilled into their heads from an early age!
They also know they have to drive for all of the other idiots on the road, since most of them don't have the common sense that God gave a gnat.

that is wonderful! Not enough parents do that! They think it's someone elses job to teach there kids that stuff! My dad took me out to a parking lot around that time also and let me at it with his pick up and taught me the basics of handleing a vechicle in the snow and ice. the only thing he diden't have the access too is to teach me a manual. Which I am hopeing my husband can do on his down time from the road. But at least my dad and you are and have done more than some of the parents out there! We have to share the road!Flying Dutchman Thanks this.

Looks like we had some good parents/family out there! See and not many people on the road know the whole light flashing to comunicate to the truckers! We just have to keep the teaching process going!

This is the sad truth! Aside from bookwork at school, I hope it's her mother & I that teach her (& future siblings) life's most valuable lessons! Not someone else, other than family of course, and god forbid, a peer! AHHH!
