I take my foot off. In the air brake portion of my CDL training the instructor showed us a cut away of an air brake chamber and told us how the push rod comes into contact with the diaphragm and might possibly tear a hole in it. Since I have to pay for the repairs I take my foot off. It costs nothing.

Nope, and I'd rather blow one and pay to repair then accidentally roll into the truck behind me. I mean, yes there is a delay when relcing foot brake, but im not sure its as long as the parking takes to spit out air and apply the spring.

Lol, maybe that why my new truck yells at me and flashes a parking brake warning on the screen until i take my foot off.

You're only going to roll an inch or two.
