Sometimes #### just works out... in flatbed picking up a day early and delivering a day early is the norm, atleast in my experience... seems alot of our type of customers just want their stuff as soon as they can get it... I didnt realize other places are against that....

Sorry to hear you have been sick with Covid and shingles. Take care of yourself. Maybe some lemon and honey would help your throat. Whiskey would be nice, but....
Shingles can come back again, and sometimes in the same areas as the first time. The virus lies in the nerve bed and lays in wait. Knew a lady who went to church with us years ago who had had it 2 or 3 times. Husband had it back in about 1987, the medicine with insurance was around $125.00.
The load having a lot of time on it might have been what you needed to get enough rest in the long run, even though you got there early.86scotty Thanks this. -

There is no logic with distribution centers, which is why I generally stay away from them but this one paid and I was behind for the month. Wait, I guess there is some logic with DC's if you think of it from their perspective. They do not want to have to deal with you or do any work until they absolutely have to. That's what it's come to, so far as I can tell.TheLoadOut, D.Tibbitt and black_dog106 Thank this.

Some of them actually only unload certain types of cargo at certain times of day. I hit the Walmart DC in Cheyenne 36 hours early once, had an "appointment" for 8am and showed up at 8pm two days before. The nice guy at the guard shack explained that they only unload frozen product from 8am to noon, so if I showed up at 8am the next morning, I should have no problem. He was right, and I got a load of frozen grocery unloaded 24 hours early. Turned out that my "appointment time" was merely the time of day that they start unloading frozen, and it was otherwise just FCFS.Speed_Drums, TheLoadOut, Midwest Trucker and 1 other person Thank this.

	Well said...
Why do something today if we can put it off until tomorrow.
Truck maintenance strikes me as a perfect example?

Target DCs will turn you away if your more than 1-2 hrs early. But I've never had to wait more than 2hrs getting empty. Wal-Mart has taken me early a bunch of times for dry. Don't mind Wal-Mart at all. Usually pretty quick if you have just 1 product on the wagon
mwhjr1988 and TheLoadOut Thank this.
