Hey guys, so i've turned in an app with these guys and working with a recruiter. The home a few nights a week and home on weekends is appealing for me, we'll just say its extremely important this isnt just a 34 hour reset kinda gig.
Anyone run out of this terminal? I'm told the manager is a good guy and has a very low turnover rate. I understand that i'll be the new guy of course and things come with that. How is hometime for you? Equipment? With my old company the last truck i was assigned was ####ing filthy, 2915 freightliner, The honda civic of trucking. I've also applied at NEMF and Regenecy, those are my top pics. Linehaul, home everyday weekends off. JB hunt is local and the same, but i get nervous about mega carriers.

I should mention i called yesterday, the local terminal, and neither dispatch or the terminal manager have called me back. So maybe its a good sign its a small outfit, and no one being there saturday and sunday means most drivers arent out there either? I could be grasping at straws with that #### haha. I'm gonna drive by the terminal now and kinda scope out the equipment. -
Did you get hired? I applied there on Friday for the out and back position
-
Any updates, fellers?

I have to call them back. I was in the hospital when the terminal manager called me. Just got out today. I will post how it goes

The guys from that terminal are rarely out overnight.
The company as a whole is quite good.
Comes down to local manager and equipment. Tractors are old, very slow replacement.
AR is largest in its segment. Loads not a problem. It’s the learning curve of how to load and deliver plastic.
Each trucks blower a little different. Each trailer has a personality. Each type of plastic is specific in its needs.
Thus, the same customers in the same area mean all those differences become second-nature (“Oh, I’m loading 4216 poly into Trlr 1333, so need X-air pressure at Y-rpm”, etc)
Harder when product and trailer are unfamiliar (OTR). -
It's a super laid back terminal with a lot of experience drivers low turnover down fall is manual fleet there for the most & older equipment that runs good for the most part pays better than most around western Massachusetts ability to stretch your legs or run local
