A request for cool heads

Friends and fellow truckers,

I think we all can agree that this is the good and right thing to do. For too long we have worked hard and seen little reward, we've seen our savings go to pay bills to survive til the next settlement check dribbles in.

Having said that, PLEASE do not resort to violence to make a point. There ARE drivers out there that will no shut down, whether it's because they don't know, don't care, cant afford to, it doesn't matter. They deserve to know they are safe, that they aren't going to be shot at, that some jerk isn't going to chuck a brick through their window or cut their air lines or slash their tires.

If one driver is hurt or God forbid killed by someone's actions, it will completely discredit those of us sitting home playing with our grandkids. do you really want to be responsible to kill or harm a child in a 4-wheeler by your hot headed actions. All I'm asking is just to stay calm...
