    Welcome to TTR OTR!

There's a bunch of small companies that run I-40, I-20, I-10 doing the produce thing that occasionally pick up as far north as Modesto area outside the bay. But you really need to base yourself near the starting point.
When you run long haul single like that there are usually 34 hr restarts at both ends with 5000+ mile round trips. Then the company will want the truck for maintenance so living in it 24/7 is not practical at the base.

I'm just familiar with the southeast-CA thing. It's done all over the country.

Every big city has a produce operation running to southern CA. Figure out where you want to base and then you can find the companies.

With in a couple hours of Dallas running produce sounds like a fit for you.

If you want to base yourself with in a couple hours of the northeast corner of AL then check out storeytrucking.com . They have a variety of trucks including a few 780's, allow pets/wives and are on paper. Communications are by cell phone.

Pay is 25% of gross which usually is $1750-$2000 a round trip. They are a good company.

You ought to get your wife driving and it would open up a whole bunch of good long haul job opportunities.

Just wondering how if you are still liking Holland. Im up near Blaine/Bellingham, WA Im pretty sure you have a driver or two up here. Im thinking about getting back on the road again, and was wanting to get on with a CO. that isnt that big and has some long hauls. Still have my CDL but have been driving buses the last 5 years. Before that drove trucks for ten years. You think they would consider hiring me even though Ive just been doing buses the last several years?

    Thanks man!
