No, you can continue to speak with whatever your normal regional accent is. However, until you accumulate a minimum of 500,000 safe miles behind the wheel, you will be required to pull over to the side of the road, dim your lights, and sit at attention, with your eyes straight ahead, whenever one of us experienced drivers passes you on the highway. After we pass, you may proceed with your trip. It's one of those things you don't learn until after finishing driving school.....

I really have no problem with that. I have been the old dog and the newbie. Being the old dog was comfortable, but boring. Being the newbie was exciting. I have been the old dog restaurant manager, construction manager, computer services lead engineer and real estate agent. I was once the newbie in all of those fields of course. I believe in paying respects. I like to change jobs also. NEW is GOOD. OLD is BORING. Don't be afraid to close your eyes and jump.

LMAO Burky.. Dennis, "dont be afraid, close your eyes and jump" I dont think fits with what you are trying to achieve with this thread. If you really believe that statement, do a lil research on the who's best and worst sections of the forum, talk to some carriers, ask a few drivers of the places you are interested in some questions, and then with who you feel will suit you best, sign the contract, attend the school, and let us know how it goes! After all, you have been a restaurant manager, construction manager, computer services engineer, and real estate agent. Worst case scenario, if you hate it, in a year, when most contracts (that I know of) are up... (for company sponsored training) you'll have seen the country... out of a cab, but you'll be able to atleast say you've been there, then you can do what you do best, change careers.

Ya mon! Dat be what I am doing mon. I interviewed with 15 Real Estate office before choosing the one I am now associated with 4 years ago. It took alot of time and effort, but it helped me make the correct choice.
And I intend to get my promises in writing. I don't need paid vacation, but I am used to 6 weeks a year "off". That's gonna be the tough part until I become an O/O. In the mean time I have a source of income, so there is no time pressure.
