I would think that celadon would start attracting some unwanted attention from all these buyouts that they don't want… Like the government?

They are doing what every company wants to do; expand and be debt free. I'm just hoping they wont turn into another CR England or Swift.

Just about every good small company is being bought out now.

Well...Here's an update on the Celadon takover of A & S Kinard. Celadon purchased the company for $55,000,000. Only bad thing they didn't realize was that when A & S took over 2 years prior they sold off every bit of assets that Kinard had. All Celadon ended up with was the scraps that were left over. Along with a totally useless senior management team that is clueless. Yes, I am a previous driver from Kinard that saw the ship starting to sink a long time ago and decided to get out while it was still above water. It's only a matter of time and I will think you will see A & S Kinard disappear when the last blue truck from the fleet disappears. Very sad from what used to be a great company.:biggrin_25513:

What a sad end to a once great company. One of PA's best. RIP Kinard.
