i drove for this company i never had too many problems, just couldnt make any money unless i never wanted to come home. got tired of having to run where no one else wanted to go, or they couldnt set a new guy.
had a kmart load one day, was 2 minutes late. 2 MINTUES!!!! for real! they gave me such a hard time, called company and company gave me some crap. so i can see a new guy getting upset or worried, but this was no excuse.
The written article reports that the driver reported getting the wrong directions from his GPS. He must have been really frustrated or had a poor demeanor to do something like that.
its only paint on the doors. if your a good driver, and do right, its in your heart, mind. you will live with that. as for getting any better treatment from swift> dont gamble on that. just know you done right. just be smart, think, and follow the laws, and be safe. You can reward your self when you get home to your family.
well with certain out of the way places and cities, it could be miles before an opportunity comes along to get turned around again. I speak from experience how I have literally had to drive for 10 or maybe more miles before the chance came to do it safely. I am sure this guy was really pressed for time and worried about getting a SF for being late. He made a really bad choice, that was all that it was. There are lots of drivers out here from every company and country driving stupidly and making every kind of mistake imaginable. We all see them everyday, its just they don't get to be on broadcast t.v. , thats all.
Seriously?? 2 minutes?? for K-Mart....Like K-Mart is that important??? I remember when K-Mart went bankrupt. We had a frend of the family who worked for K-mart most of her adult life. She was in profit sharing and when they went down hill a number of years ago all the employees lost a ton of their profit sharing/retirement. Probably a reason why I can't remember the last time I shopped at one of their stores. Sorry that happened to you JD.
Yeah, if I remember correctly they owed over 660 million in debt, then came bankrupticy, then a few months after that, they bought Sears.
so you were driving 18 hour days and got in an accident and broke headlights off another truck and you wonder why you cant get another job? do you have a brain? it doenst take a genius to realize you dont drive 18 hour days. im sorry but you are part of the problem when it comes to trucking.there is no load with swift that requires you to drive 18 hour days. im sorry but you make me mad
