Prime, Swift, Roehl, Crete, TMC, PAM and Schneider are the ones that come to mind. Maybe someone else can add any I've missed.

6 days c'est no shower sucked but we ran as team also ran hard
-
I shower every 2-3 days with a student and minimum 2 days solo. Only a handful of times have I had to go without a shower for more than 3 days. My longest streak is 5 days and I specifically told dispatch after that I was shutting down for the night to shower, get a respectable meal and a quality night's sleep...since they don't pay attention to PTAs.

I am looking forward to starting my training on September 29th with JBS Carriers. Just graduated from a good school but still only have enough to get me started. Never having driven a big rig before this I know there will be a lot to learn. Anyone have any insight on JBS training and what to expect?

Conway Truckload trains as solo. The trainer and student are both on the clock at the same time so there is no way to run team. Trainer is awake and observing/advising.
blktop-bucanear Thanks this. -
I may have missed this earlier but does anybody know about restrictions if you fly to orientation? Can you pack vitamins and prescriptions on your carry on? What about your laundry detergent, shampoo, etc.? Also will the scanner at check in hurt a laptop? With all the restrictions and never flying before I just don't know. Any info would be helpful.

Here is the list of prohibited carry on items for airlines.

At Pensacola I cannot get a tube of toothpaste through screening for carry on luggage. I suggest keeping your laptop with you and pay the baggage fee $25.00. -
I have recently contacted a smaller company (80 trucks) that is looking for trainers. I have 2+ years OTR and I think I would make a good trainer, but not sure I would dare try to sleep with a noob driving my truck.
This company said they'd pay the truck $.45/mile split between the trainer and the student, with the first week being $.30 to the trainer, and $.15 to the student. Student trains for 6-8 weeks but I won't have the student the entire 6-8 weeks.
Does this pay sound about right for a trainer with 2years OTR xp?
I'm REALLY not sure I would want to run as a team operation, I don't care how much freight they have. I have done team operation before, and sleeping while another is driving is not the easiest thing in the world to begin with, let alone trying to sleep with a complete noob behind the wheel.
Does anyone else feel the same as I do? -
With 2 years experience I made $.34 a mile as a trainer.
