Nothing beats a resonant antenna. Using a "tuner" doesn't make the antenna resonant. It simply makes the transmitter happy like a dummy load.
Without resonance, efficiency will be compromised both with receive and transmit. -

Yeah, I always kind of believe in adjusting the antenna to the correct length for the frequencies Im normally using, I'll use a tuner like hooker up to the screwdriver, for roaming around the band, but mostly for listening. I will tx with them on channels when strolling about.rabbiporkchop Thanks this.

If I was considering running something like this: Wilson 2000 Trucker Antenna Kit
On my 2020 Cascadia, would that fit the phased/phased array definition?
Disclaimer: Total noob/rookie/amateur/uneducated dude. -
Dont understand this phase stuff..I wouldnt put a wildon 2000 on a plascadia though..
