    What company is this.
    You never mentioned it.
You having to feed the trainer sounds like
    A lease/ trainer/student/ mega deal to me.
And having to stay with her for a year too.
    That's insane.
    I could be wrong though.

Did you pay for the school or did the company
    Pay for it.
If you paid, your not obligated to anybody or
    Any company.

She’s guilt tripping you. It’s a common ploy of people to control others to prevent them from leaving if and when the relationship becomes abusive.

Your “friend” is no friend of yours. If you stay on her truck, things will definitely get worse.

    Luck in battle.

She'll get Stockholm Syndrome if she stays much longer.

You could ask for a different trainer. I will say most trainer don't really train. They use the new driver as a team driver. So you could ask about running less miles per day as team. That would give more bathroom and shower break time but less money. I was a trainer for meg trucking company and we had to run 1200 miles a day basically. I will say that to much in my opinion. I only did it about 2 years. Me and the new drivers never like running like that and kinda set people up to fail or quit. So if you only need 4 week training or 8 you can just go solo. Running team is very hard. Even my trainer did not show me much when I started. So don't expect a lot of training in my opinion. You kinda have to learn as you go along. Hopefully you go some training on running the mountains in school

Just put your head down and get through the training. Most of what you are going to learn will be after the fact. Keep coming here and reading, back up slowly, and turn your CB on when weather is foul.

Most of what I have learned so far was after my training period, reading these forums and just being aware of what I have been doing and trying to do things better next time.

Sounds like her husband chose to retire rather than go to prison for murder. That is a sick, filthy woman. If it was for another couple of weeks, maybe, but for a year.... I would slap myself silly if I called her a friend.

    Are you safe to drive?
If so it's her choice to stay up with you.

Verbal abuse is unacceptable. Are you unworthy of basic human dignity?

I can actually understand needing to use a bucket. I've never had to but it's understandable. Not using restrooms when available is not understandable. Not immediately sealing the bag and using air freshener as well as immediately disposing of the bag when she can is not only unacceptable it shows an utter lack of any consideration for you.
You want to do this for a year? Good luck.

Once again the old saying, " Don't mix business with pleasure. "

This is an industry / profession where thick skin is a must.

Your first year is tough to begin with due to limited employment opportunities.

Being on a truck with someone that's a miserable ##### is rough.

I make pretty good money. I'd need to make $250K a year to go back to team driving.

That's how much nicer it is driving by yourself.

And in 15 years, I've yet to use my truck as a toilet.
