If I'm not mistaken, teams make 2cpm more, so 57.4cpm.

What service center did you apply at?

I'm thinking of applying to southeastern in Jacksonville, FL. The terminal is only an hour from my house. I'm wanting to settle down and start a family, I don't want to be OTR for that

Hmm sounds like another guy our age... Worked for lone star as well... Went to a local LTL, this sounds very familiar to a super trucker... HAHA JK dirty diesel I'd never compare you to him lol. Yea best thing to do if starting a family this way your around and not 1000s of miles away

Im in my early 20's as well and quitting otr to work for an LTL company was an easy decision. Cant beat being home every night and weekends off, plus making a LOT more money

    DrtyDiesel and ACH1130 Thank this.

I knew someone was going to mention super trucker haha.

Yeah I love OTR, I never thought a woman could break me away from it but this one has. I don't wanna see my kids grow up three months at a time if you know what I mean. I love lone star too though, they've treated me well. Only difference between me and super trucker is I ain't trying to get rich. If I can make the same money and be home every night ill be fine with that haha.

I agree with that, If I remain driving a truck Id like to stay local, dont care whether its night or days, although I do like line-haul a lot more than P/D. Im deff not ready for kids any time soon at all. The gf and I want to live together for a bit after she graduates just to make sure we dont kill each other.

I am hoping to find something better along the way as well if it comes up. Still trying for the career firefighter. Supposedly I am up on the next class for FDNY... but at the same time who knows when the next class is

I just read a post of you saying OTR is what you wanted because you were single. Dude, make up your mind lol

Honestly, single or not, my weekends are sacred. So is eating home cooked meals.

Yeah but super duper trucker went to Central. Don't ever do that. You can do it up north where they actually take care of some of their terminals. But down in Florida, especially Jax, Orlando and Tampa.... Stay away.

Isn't Ocala closer to you? Odie and AAA have yards there. Also Southeastern.
