    Short answer: No

Long answer: Someone in one of the couple of AAA Cooper threads recently said "as soon as I applied, they took the job listing down." The same thing happened to me. I was looking at the Home Office location and have seen both P&D and Solo Linehaul spots stay up for months, and occasionally Team Linehaul spots. Never did apply to them. Time went on. I finally decided I wanted a change, there is a Solo Linehaul spot, I applied..... and just like the other person, they took down that position. In fact, the Home Office is only showing 1 position open, at all, and that includes mechanics and office personnel.

I'm hoping, since my application is on file now, when they have another driving spot open, they will consider my app again, although I may have to re-apply at that time.

That bites. Keep checking the listings. Not sure how up to date AAA keeps their website and job listings, but I know when I saw the ad for mine I applied and received a response in about an hour.

Dothan is the closest terminal to me. That's why the references to "the Home Office."

Oh ok 10-4 yea I would love to be out of Dothan. I might move there in a couple of years and transfer. That would be the best terminal to be based out of. They get the best equipment or new equipment first. And the hours and routes and miles are there. If there was an opportunity for me to transfer there I would do it in a heartbeat

Read through the employee handbook and I've got to say- its seems I'm in a new committed relationship and she above all else, comes first. "She" being AAA Cooper. I'm excited about the new opportunity, but I hope she is forgiving and understanding sometimes that life happens.

Oh no brother. Family comes first then AAA Cooper. Don’t get it twisted. Never put a job above your family. Like you said life does happen and from what I’ve been through AAA Cooper has always been understanding. When I first started I told them before I got hired on I had my grandmothers memorial service to attend that was already a prior engagement and they said no problem. Just two weeks ago my wife’s doctor said she needed to have surgery and I told them I needed the next day after her surgery off so I can be with her and the kids so she can relax and I can watch the kids and no problem there as well. My point is if you communicate with them in a timely manner they will do their best to accommodate you and your family needs. That’s why they are going to have to fire me or the company will have to go out of business to get rid of me. I’m gonna retire here. After being here for about a month I New I found my second home and the search for great job and career was over. No more looking on Craigslist or indeed. No more interviews. No more applying to jobs or anything like that. Just buying my time letting seniority kick in. I think I got about 8 guys underneath now. I remember when I didn’t have anyone and I was the last guy on the list. And I’ve only been here 4 months. Stick it out and you will have a prosperous career here. Also to add almost all the guys at my terminal have 20 years or more so when they retire who do you think is going to the top dog for linehaul? Lol.

Brother, I appreciate that insight. I guess a little bit of it is the anxiety that normally comes with change. Guess I’m running over in my head all the what if’s and I should calm down a bit

No worries brother. I was the same way. My previous company I was the number 1 guy for seniority for OTR drivers for my terminal but I needed to come off the road but I was nervous and skeptical about the change. I left them and went through two different companies before cooper and I was upset for leaving my job. I gave up a lot but if I didn’t leave them I would have never found AAA Cooper. Change is always scary but we as humans have always overcome every obstacle thrown at us. We either adapt or perish and unlike the dinosaurs we never perish. We keep adapting and keep evolving. You got this brother and let me know if I can answer any questions you may have. I will also keep this thread going about my adventures as well. Our bids was submitted yesterday so hopefully I’ll find out next week what I’ll be running and what kind of miles me and partner will be getting.
