I've been with AAA for two months now and I'd just put it like this. Almost every facet of the job is physically easy. The difference I've noticed between this job and others is that the pace is constant. There isn't any time to sit and shoot the breeze with your co-workers while working the dock. Once I swipe my ID onto dock then I'm expected to be productive. Too many bathroom breaks raises some eyebrows too, lol. Seriously, its really easy, just have to pace yourself to keep moving and productivity up. Remember, once the dock work is done, you've still got your route to run. I'm averaging about 5 hours in the morning on the dock and about an 8 or 9 run route afterwards most days. Mondays are my long days and have several times had to use my 16-hr exception.

Sorry to hear that! I did the same thing my first week with AAA but it didn't cut it off just crushed it. My fingernail is just now starting to fall off after two months. Good luck with your recovery.

Man they sure are keeping you busy. Sounds like some long days. But I bet it’s fun when you get off the dock and get to interact with the customers. I’m not quite knowledgeable in this department but I could be wrong and anyone please correct me if I’m wrong. I thought you could only use the 16 hour exception rule once a week. My last company when I was local with them could only use it once a week and my father who works for FXF says he can only use it once a week if need be and he’s been with them for 22 years so I know he wouldn’t steer me wrong. So I would be careful if your terminal is allowing you to do that.

Lol sad part is that it’s not. That my friend is what you call one of our classic trucks. It’s an antique. There are plenty of those trucks in our company. They all look that. Those trucks that look like that probably have like 2 million miles on it.

Hope everyone had a productive week. Mine was fairly busy. Hence the reason I wasn’t on here. Had a very late start this morning due to leaking hub oil on one of the dolly wheels that I found on the pre trip and the yard guy couldn’t get it right this morning. Barley speaks English. But we got it taken care of. Hope everyone has a great weekend. Stay safe.
