I thought about that for a sec. didn’t know if that was still open or not. People don’t talk about that terminal that much. Or maybe I don’t hear about it that much I should say

I’m doing good. Just finished another week. Bids just came out. Hoping to get our Knoxville lane which is 6500 miles. If not I’ll be pushing for MontEagle which just shy of 6100 miles. Either one will be fine with me and my partner. We do 5800 now. How about yourself?
88 Alpha and Texas_hwy_287 Thank this. -
I hope you get the Knoxville lane. Im doing good man keeping busy.
Kstrong86 Thanks this. -
That’s good man. Please stay safe. I saw some nasty accidents up and down I-57 and I-24 all this week. Cars hitting each other and a Tanker rolled over. I just don’t get it man. People are in such a rush to just get where they are going to wait. SMH. But yes I do hope I get it.Texas_hwy_287 Thanks this.

Update. Everything turned out okay with background check. TM wants me to come in and talk with him and do a driving test. Got to say, I’m super excited about the opportunity. One question, do I have to do an orientation like at the bigger companies? Or is everything done in house and then you’re on the clock?
FlaSwampRat, Texas_hwy_287 and 88 Alpha Thank this. -
Great news. You’re in man if you have to do a road test and orientation. Of course if you pass the road test that is lol. Orientation is easy. It’s done at your terminal. Wherever you did your interview at. Pretty simple. You get paid hourly whatever was agreed at during the interview and watch a couple of videos and do some online computer stuff. Takes about couple of days to complete but plan on about 8.5 hours a day. Took me three days to complete then two days with a mentor and the second week I was working the dock and driving linehaul runs on my own.Matt1924, Texas_hwy_287 and Lonesome Thank this.

Uh-oh. Throwing me for a loop! Anything odd about the road test that I wouldn’t be familiar with regular driving and docking?Kstrong86 and Texas_hwy_287 Thank this.

@Matt1924 also be prepared to watch those vintage videos about trucking safety.
@Kstrong86 does AAA give you the road test in auto or manual.
