The AB5 law and Pro Act Bill are actual regulations

She kept saying we should all have to follow the same FMCSA regulations, and we are, just with someone else’s DOT number on the truck.

And AB5 doesn’t concern me because I’m not in CA. The push for it to go nationwide will be fought by the ATA because their member companies can’t exist without their lease purchase programs.

And the ATA will battle that to the end. The profits that the megas make from lease purchase programs likely exceeds their actual trucking revenue. And if it does go nationwide then I’ll just get my authority.

My issue with the other poster is she kept saying being leased to carrier is skirting the FMCSA regulations and couldn’t say what regulations and was only giving her opinion.
