There's no trainee to be found anywhere.

There is a large salad though.

You say "abandoned trainee", I say "Dave's new driver".

You can now buy that tractor with the attached salad preparation cabin you went on and on about in the other thread. Heck, start a youtube channel. Call it "Eating on the run." The trainee could be driving while you're in back recording another video about today's salad.

Getting paid, while you're getting paid. Be more awesome if you were reefering a load of lettuce while making the salad video.

I think he could call it "tossing salad, with Dave and the Desperate Driver."

    Im sorry for your loss.

I had a father during that time in my life plus a step father by marriage etc. and it would have been very bad for me if for some reason they were to pass on at that age for me and everyone.

Even now as a full grown step father myself of a daughter from a previous marriage as well as a uncle etc of more kids who themselves are grown.. I am fixing to bury one of my fathers once the alzhiemers kills him at some point in the coming winter. I am not looking forward to it. Ive already lost a number of people in the last 4 years.

When you lose someone important it can be very bad. However I do respect you for what you had to do at 13. I don't think I would have been able to do that at 13. I was still too much screwed up kid at that age.

As far as truckers and or trainees begging for money at the truckstop.. I use one example when I hired onto ATS, I spent three months doing dishes in Long John Silvers joint until I had 1200 accumulated net cash. I show up in orientation and get going in the big truck with enough to tide me over several months. The payroll just piled up unspent.

at that point I knew I did something right. In the past Ive borrowed after orientation against my pay. It's a cycle. But when you show up with enough money to take care of yourself you will find that the payroll and savings ill take care of itself as well.

No begging. That is a mark of a very good trucker.

They lost because the white man had better weapons.

I assure you, a .38 quickly negates someone's 20 years of martial arts training.
