Oh man, I guess there is a permanent record for trucking!

Do only bigger companies and megas use the same "screening" program for new hires? I've heard stories of people just leaving trucks in the middle of nowhere or truck stops and quitting. It sounds like all they were doing was shooting themselves in the foot.

In this case, it sounds like the previous employer didn't like having to relocate manpower to retrieving an, in essence, abandoned truck.

Abandoning a truck is almost as bad as failing a drug test.
Be an adult and return the truck.

Be an adult and return the truck.

They've been trying but for some reason the company can't find a load back. So after a month of waiting to go back. You say screw it. I'M GONE.

And with millions of companies who wouldn't care. Most being local.

Why do you all make a big deal about it. ?????

hope not dumb twucker Thanks this.

Has it been established that the person in question did NOT return the truck?

As of yet I’m not convinced he didn’t.

It’s very possible someone in the office has a personal vendetta and knew full well they could ruin his life by trashing him behind his back with an abandonment accusation.
